What are the intermittent extract rates referring to?

General consensus is to use the 13, 8 and 6 flow rates on " boost" for setting up the system. 

Should intermittent extract figures be on boost, and the continuous extract on normal setting?

Edit...just realised,  as the MVHR is " continuous " the 13, 8, 6 figures are used.
