Anyone had dealings with ?

looking for a main contractor for my self build and my architect has recommended then ( assured me no links or financial links etc ) 

I will arrange to meet with them etc but just wondered if anyone on here might have dealt with them or know of them 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think peeps like architects mean well by suggesting companies that they’ve witnessed successfully building for others before, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best fit for your project/attitudes/budget/desires.  It seems that finding a good solution involves a lot of dead ends, and that’s lead me to believe that good decisions are fuelled by pursuing each dead end as if it’s the best thing since sliced bread, until it’s proven to be bogus.  
 

I can’t comment on that company, and those that can can only do so from the prism of their own experience, but I would urge pursuing multiple solutions simultaneously.  If nothing else I believe it accelerates the learning process.

Thanks I have looked at several other options whilst waiting for planning and  building regs drawings and seen lots of good and not so good options this just came through from the architects ( as I asked them if they had anyone they had worked with and had good results and happy with etc) so was just curious… I get your point just because someone had a good ( or bad) experience it doesn’t mean the next person will get the same ? Lots of variables) . Like I say was just getting any thoughts if someone had any dealings 👍🏼

Yes timber frame insulated raft built with passive principles

Given that you can ask the builder to show you stuff like that that they’ve done.
