Crusty Combi Boiler Dripping

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We've recently moved into a property. We had a boiler safety check done when doing so. I've since discovered one of the 'taps' underneath is rather crusty and had been dripping everywhere so slightly on our grey worktop below. It wasn't a puddle or pool, just more like a white stain.

I've since turned the maximum radiator temperature down to 60 degrees as someone mentioned anything higher than this can cost you quite a bit more over the year. Previously it was set on 70 degrees.

I just wondered if this crusting and/or dripping is anything to worry about.

I feel the dripping may have stopped since I reduced the temperature, but hard to know for certain as yet.

Thanks for any advice you have.
