Sashmeup
Hi all Could do with some advice please - had this window taken out and renovated a few years ago and recently its started leaking from the top of the frame. The flat roof above it was replaxed also with a fiberglass one, i've been up there and water tested it and checked it all and it looks fine/no water seeping down. It really needs some weather to get it going but once it starts it starts, wind seems to help. The wall on the outside is not original and is very pores, I sprayed it with a sealant / water resistant coating thinking it could be that but its made no difference. I think the problem lies, with the bloke who took the window out as he didn't seal it properly when putting it back in as per the photos. Exposed expanding foam, which fills the gap between the building and the frame in the photos. The window is east facing and gets lashed by the weather. I was thinking of sealing around the expanding foam which seems soaking wet and then sticking a weather protecting piece of plastic on the underside. Ideally won't have to take the window frame out as its got expensive tiling on the inside and a shower. Welcome other advice comments please.
