Question building regs/fire regs - Door to kitchen from hallway on ground floor flat conversion

Bit stumped here, just wondering if I need a door to the kitchen from the hallway (circled in red on pic), would be great not to have a door here. Ground floor flat conversion - all bedrooms have fire escape windows and a means of escape, building control have said I don't need fire doors, have mains wired smoke/heat alarms, kitchen oven extractor ventilated to the outside etc etc. Any help would be welcome! Cheers

This is from Part B means of escape from flats.

Escape from the ground storey
3.15 All habitable rooms (excluding kitchens) should have either of the following.
a. An opening directly onto a hall leading to a final exit.
b. An emergency escape window or door, as described in paragraph 3.6.
(my bold)

Your arrangement would comply without the door marked
