Parex monorex render advice

Hi,

I’m looking for some advice on our new build property. I believe the render used was parex monorex j20 which is a coloured render preventing the need for painting.

When we moved in you could see the blockwork through the render, more so at the top, we snagged this and the solution the site team came up with was to paint the render. They painted this using parex crylane acrylic paint.

My question is is this a suitable fix? I’m concerned that the render is now unable to ‘breathe’ and wondering if the initial coat of render was too thin, hence the blockwork showing through.

Since painting you can no longer see the blockwork, but I’m more concerned about if we will have bigger problems in the future.

This might be totally fine but just want some independent advice (not from the house builder) to put my mind at ease and see what others would have done in this situation!

We’re also having an issue where some of the render has cracked off around the front door canopy.

and some of the feature brickwork protrudes out from the render…

have uploaded some pictures!

Thanks for any replies
