Johns23
Hello My downpipe at the back of the garage just empties directly onto the mud under a patio slab. I have been having issue with water damage on the side of the garage so wonder if this is the cause although no apparent damage at the back where this is. I decided to dig below the patio slab and have found a piece of pipe about 10” down but is totally blocked with mud and a huge root that I can’t move. I decided to pour a few litres of water in to see how slowly it drains after clearing what I could and it didn’t budge at all. It did however just disappear down a gap between the pipe and garage wall. I’m not sure if this is where soil has washed away from years of rainwater or is where the water is going? I put an endoscope camera into the gap and can see it connects at an acute angle to another pipe. Not sure if this goes to a soakaway that other pipes connect to or whether it is its own pipe. Struggling to access the pipe. Any advice beyond just blasting it with a power hose would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
