gavmc88
We are looking to turn the space above our garage into walk in storage. The house was an architect build and the first floor is a large bedroom/Loft style adjacent to that through a hatch is a space above the garage which is unused. We are ideally looking to have an opening created and inside floor covering and wall covering, the space is limited but would allow us to have a walk in wardrobe essentially. The main issue we are concerned for is the rafters. To create an opening to walk into the area, it looks like one or two may need removed and made structurally sound. The space is around 2.8m x 3.1m x 2.2m high at highest point of the sloped roof. Could anyone shed light on this or has anyone faced a similar scenario? Thanks Edited August 31, 2022 by gavmc88 Added photos
