antsals
I'll look to extend over our garage that is interconnected with the house. It is brick and block construction already with cavity. I contacted the building control to discuss exposing the foundations so they could be inspected prior to us laying a new path. I exposed the LH wall and inspector came happy with everything. Was a good depth, and he seemed bothered that the foundation was suitable a suitable distance from the edge off the foundation....I'm my case it was approx 230mm from he edge of th foundation. My problem is now I have exposed the RH side / wall and dug the trial pit, got right down the strip foundation, but this looks like the trench blockhave been installed level with the edge of the foundation. Do you think this will be a problem with the building inspector? If this is a problem will I need to expose the whole foundation and drill rebar the the side then concrete a strip back.
