Mags
Brummie DIYer here. I have a problem as in there is about an inch or two of water underneath the floorboards of my living room and hall way. I only found out when the electrician got the boards up to run some cable. It isn't leaking from heating or in coming water supply as Severn Trent tested the water. They said it is natural or rain water. No smell just clear water. The void below is about 3 feet deep and sits on grey clay. 1930's end terrace with good gutters. No bricks or obvious cracks in lower walls. Block paved drive but no extra drainage installed. The only thing I can think of is the downpipe from guttering drains onto floor at side of house and what looks like a drain gulley has been filled with concrete. Could this be responsible for water getting under my footings and floorboards? It is dangerous? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
