Hi, I've been offered a really good deal on a Siemens Ex875LX 34E hob with built in ventilation, but I can't find any reviews/comments from owners anywhere on it. Does anyone have one? Would you recommend it? I've also been looking at the Bora Basic, and Miele KMDA 7774 FL, but the price I've been offered on the Siemens is a real bargain, I'm wondering if there's a reason why! If anyone has any experience of the other two products I'd be interested to hear feedback as well. I can find some reviews for the Bora Basic, but not really for the Siemens/Miele.

Hello, Trying to choose between Gaggenau extraction (tabletop that comes out of the counter, or integrated similar to Bora) and Bora. I've read a lot about Bora basic but very little about how efficient (or not) Gaggenau is in comparison. Or Miele, for that matter. The only posts that had comparisons are old enough to get updated views from you all. -> For owners of a Gaggenau or a Miele extractor: - are you happy with how it removes smells, and with the noise levels? - Do you wish you'd gone for Bora instead? I particularly like the Gaggenau tabletop extractor, because it seems close enough to the cooking zone to be effective, but seems to give more flexibility on which hob to pair it with. https://www.gaggenau.com/gb/appliances/extractors/400-series --> For owners of a Bora Basic BFIU or Bora classic: - How much were you quoted for it, and do you know how much the bora classic with 2 induction zones would have been instead? - Does the timer only work in 10 minutes increments? I can't find any information on that - Is there a pause function? I know Bora is the first one that successfully managed extraction integrated in the hob, but have Gaggenau or Miele caught up, or is Bora still the absolute king? Thank you in advance for all your thoughts! Curly

Hi - we are renovating a barn putting in a large island into which we want to install a hob and then extractor - though I doubt we will ever use the extractor. It has quickly become apparent that unless we go for Bora a gas hob is not a goer which is a shame but we were quoted between £7,000 and 9,500 for the classic configuration we liked and that is not doable for us. So we are now looking at either an induction and teppanyaki with a downdraft or an induction with an integrated vented extractor from Bosch, Neff etc which all seem to be pretty similar. We will be limited to recirculating rather than ductinc. Does anyone have any advice as I simply do not know where to begin we love cooking and want to maximise our area. The island is 1.5 m wide (2 sets of IKEA units and a gap between with a stainless steel worktop being made to measure).

Hi All Just looking for some opinions..... I'm looking at putting an induction hob with built in extraction into a kitchen island (2m x 1.2x) and after much deliberation I think I've decided on going with Bora. It seems that there are definitely more options for this type of hob/extractor combo now than a couple of years ago when I started planning my build. I've had a look at AEG, Neff, Siemens and Caple as well as Bora and from reading posts here and generally online it seems like Bora is way to go. I have a couple of question for those who have induction hobs and Bora in particular as I'm undecided on whether to go with BFIU or BIU versions. 1. Is having a flexi zone really worth it? I've never actually used a flexi zone, just normal induction and the difference in cost of the 2 Bora models is approx £850 with the difference being the flexi zone, about 70mm in width and a slightly different touch control panel. tying to decide if it's worth the cost difference! 2. For re-circulation Bora just duct back into the service void behind the kitchen cabinet and vent into it with the air working its way down and then our over the plinth. Just worried about any potential issues with moist air etc sitting behind/under the cabinet.... or am I worrying unnecessarily! Thanks Alex
