Morning all, can anyone tell me what the regulations are about how far a mobile home should be sited from an existing septic tank. thankyou.

I'm suspecting it may end up permanent but we'll go with temp for the time being I think.

Morning everyone, so we are moving to our new home next week and siting a park home untill our renovations are done. just wondered if we are able to plumb the home into our existing septic tank or is there a different way we have to do it. Thanks.

Hi everyone. our new property has a very basic broadband connection and fibre isnt availabe, having teenagers in the house we really need decent broadband, has anyone had any experience of satellite broadband or know if its actually available, thanks.

Hi, I see theres some discussions about caravans already on here, I wondered what size we can put on our site, given the current situation i dont think we are going to get builders for out attic conversion for quite a while so my teenagers were going to go into a mobile home in the garden which is 1 acre. does it have to be a standard sized static van or can we get one of those park home type things which are about 20ftx40ft. That come delivered in 2 halves, do I have to get planning for this when I phoned the planning dept. they didnt even talk about what size they just said let them know if I was doing it. I live in Scotland. Thanks.

Thanks guys. looking forward to lots of good advice, it’s a rural property, a Scottish long house , so we have lots of plans, that’s not to say we’ll be allowed to do it all but it’s worth a go. Our first thing is finding out what size of caravan / mobile home we can put on till be get loft done as we can’t all fit in the house just now . We want to put in as big as we can , The curtilage of the property is around an acre and we have an additional 9 acres in pasture and woodland.

Hi, I have just joined and thought I would say hi, we have just had an offer accepted on a property which we were hoping to convert the loft on, I am already stressing and we haven’t even completed on the sale yet. I can feel already that I could be on here pestering everyone with rookie questions. Anyway I’ll stop myself before I start babbling on. Looking forward to some good advice . Dianne .
