  1. I've had two now. Didn't see anything in either box. Not the end of the world. Its 89p for 5 from screwfix.
  2. Thanks guys. Appreciate the responses. I thought it would need a washer. I just can't understand how they don't come with them. Or at least mention that you need them in the Instruction manual. Says absolutely nothing about it.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys. I just can't get bit to stop weeping. I'm abit surprised it didn't come with a washer. This is the second one I had. The other one come with a broken gauge. So didn't even test that one, but it didn't have a washer either. This is another pic of the connection.
  4. Hi guys/gals. I need to test a small bit of plumbing I've done. I bought a ridgid 1450 pressure tester (over kill I know), but its not holding pressure. The hose that attaches to your pipe/rad etc is leaking. Is it supposed to come with a washer? Cheers
  5. Thanks for the replies guys. Unfortunately, TEMP, next doors roof is very old. The mortar is already coming loose , so don't want to touch it. GUS, I'm not totally sure what you mean, it sounds Interesting though, would you mind showing me an example of s9meyhing similar, just fir my own clarity. And Tonyshouse, that was original plan but the bricks are so soft and damaged, it work work.
  6. I did try to cut parallel, but the bricks are so soft that they wouldn't really take the lead very well. Also, some of the bricks are blown so much that the lead 'lip' in the brick work would have to be 50mm +. No easy solution here. I may end up trying to use some sort of render and then using that lead tape.
  7. Hi everyone. I had planned to add a diagonal lead flashing, down the wall, over my lead soakers. The issue however is the wall I want to put the diagonal flashing on, is not in a great state. In certain parts the gap in the bricks are white deep, so I don't think normal lead would work. I dont think Sticky 'lead' tape would work either. Is there any other way?. Some sort of render over the lead soakers. I'd rather not render the whole wall, as it's the neighbours and like I said, its not in great nick. Once again the wall is really quite soft and old. I dont want to mess about too much with it, or I could be opening a can of worms for myself. Any ideas are appreciated. Cheers. Jim
  8. Hi. I was looking to use step flashings to attach my roof and next doors wall. Anyone got any ideas on how I get round the issue of uneven brickwork with next doors wall?. The soakers are in but I can't cut in the step flashings as I've done in the past. Cheers everyone.
