Sorry meant is the open fire safe to use in its current state?

Thanks for the replies. We are considering a multi fuel stove to replace it. Is it safe to use with the firebricks showing where the render has dropped off?

I’ve got an open fire which I burn coal and logs on. Having a problem with the render that’s been reapplied twice (by chimney sweep) since Xmas cracking and crumbling off. Any tips of anything different that can be used and if it’s safe to use in its current state where the firebricks are now visible?
