Hello folks. My wife and I are at the very beginning of looking at buying a plot and self building. We are in West Yorkshire but would be looking at the Yorkshire Wolds around Driffield. We've spent the last 18 years renovating an agricultural barn in rural France and had intended moving there but life, kids, cancer etc have got in the way...and now Brexit... Anyway, we have a limited budget and it looks touch and go as to whether we can realise our ideas of self building. Quite fancy ICF but open to any building method. There seems a wealth of knowledge and experience on here so we'll tap into that, try and work out best and worst case finance scenarios. Dave
