  1. It's beyond me why they built it so tall. It makes most rural Scottish churches look tiny
  2. No masonic thkngs, I don't think this was the right religion for all that. Thanks for all the best of lucks, going to need it.
  3. Lochcarron. We're lightly converting to live in it. But mostly restoring. Guy before us tore a lot out without permission. It's grade 2 listed. could be 3 floors of we wanted. At the moment there is a gallery as a second floor. We have a website www.lochcarronchurch.com The first serious project, now we have water, loo and power, is the roof which has nail sickness. Hence a cherry picker.
  4. Yeah, porbably a good arrangement. Just need to work out what batteries I need now.
  5. It's 26ft to the rafters.
  6. Oh, I added a pic of the church I live in and the cherry picker to my hello thread:
  7. No, it doesn't get enough "go" from the mains. Actually, a friend has offered to pay for the proper batteries if he can borrow it. I'll look into genuine ones now.
  8. I knew how much the batteries cost, but I just thought, why have something for a remote, in the field cherry picker, when I have mains available all the time for it. I'll never need to use it stand alone.
  9. Hi all, I just got a cherry picker and the batteries are knackered. I'm only going to use is directly around the building and always on mains. I read I can replace the two 6v batteries with one leisure battery. Does anyone know if the largest Halfords battery is good enough? Thanks for any ideas, cheers, Justin
  10. Hi all, limited experience, sort of, but I'm restoring an old church in Scotland. This seems like a handy forum. Cheers, Justin
