Hi everyone. I’m after some advice please. I plan on laying real wood flooring in my lounge and having taken up the old carpet and underlay to reveal a concrete sub-base. It looks like there is a thin layer of what I assume is bitumen. what’s the best way to lay the wooden blocks - glue the wood floor blocks directly to the concrete, or put down some form of underlay (and then glue to that)? Also, can you glue directly on top of bitumen? Finally, what glue/adhesive should I use?? Thanks.
