We’re attempting to renovate our house which was built in the mid 90s. Having stripped the wallpaper, we found a lot of the plaster around the door was cracked and fell away and we’re now left with some quite large/deep holes to fill (2”/2”). I can’t see daylight though them but can feel the cold air coming through. The front door is still in place and we don’t plan to replace it at this stage.
I need to repair the plasterwork around the door, and could use expanding foam, but don’t believe it will provide the best levels of insulation. Are there any alternative products that can fill and insulate deep holes around the perimeter of existing openings whilst the door/window is still in place?
Thanks
