Hi experts Should i heat Butil tape to melt it onto what i want to repair. Its fairly new roll but quite hard and not very sticky, and also a bit cold at the moment. If so will a hair drier work? Thanks

Hi. Can you recommend a smartlock for a gate between the street and courtyard that does everything. I want a camera with mic and unlock buzzer. I want finger print, fob, key and phone entry. Hi Experts Is it feasible and affordable to clear out a small cellar and add a ensuite shower room with shower, basin and toilet. Im fairly sure the main drain is close to the area but will be above the cellar floor. How do i get the waste to go uphill???

Hi Experts I have to get category 0 fire safety on a new external timber shiplap clad wall. I have spent a lot on paint and want to speed things up so bought a £50 sprayer. No matter what i do i cant get a smooth finish on the paint. The paint guy said i wont get a smooth finish until i use the acrylic top coat. is this normal?

Hi Experts The council said in planning permission I have to paint the timber cladding white to fit with the local environment, even though there are very few white houses in the local area like this. I am in conservation area and next door is a dreaded listed building. I have treated the timber in wood stain at the road facing front and the neighbours and i love it. White else where. Question is, if they insist I paint it white how do I protest and do I have a chance of winning??

Hi Experts I need to fit my S&F's but cant decide... The house is clad in real wood TG weather board, some stained and some white paint and a lot of pain and money has gone in. I have anthracite windows and facias need to match I don't think i can bring myself to add plastic or foam facias on it, i really don't want any nasty looking stuff. £50ish per meter. So, i go for aluminium, looks great but £100ish per meter. What is wrong with timber at £20ish per meter, primed and painted. Ii know there's a chance it will rot over time but as the entire house wood, i cant see a problem, although my V V Good builder and others say its no good. All the timber will need maintenance over time... Any other options or advise is welcome..

Hi Experts Im looking to do a polished concrete floor in my small bathroom, 10m2 max, perhaps with some blue glass aggregate. Anyone got any advise?? Thickness? What to lay it on, raw floor or onto self level compound?? Hand Grinder or large machine? Correct mix? May seem silly question but im up for the challenge

Hi Any one got experience of white SF Tiles in a bathroom. Just 1tall feature wall with window and bath. I can get Quartz or Marble I really want the look of a cliff face on the tall wall and i like these but im being told they will get dirty and are not practical, although this is by my mum and my tiler..((he is an excellent tiler))

That's lovely, its a shame we humans will eventually ruin it by tiling our bathrooms..Ohhh Well
