  1. Thanks for quick reply. Yes I've tried this. I power-off the whole system frequently, during my investigations inside the heat pump..!
  2. I have a Gecko "IN.Temp" 7.5KW hot tub heat pump. For the past couple of months, the pump has been exhibiting unusual behaviour: - The pump works perfectly well during the overnight heating cycle. The water is correctly heated and there are no issues. - during the day, the pump compressor is activating itself, approximately every hour, for around 5 mins. The coils are getting hot. The fan is NOT spinning. - after 5 mins, the compressor shuts off. It is shutting off because I think the coils have heated up and reached a cut off temperature. - this cycle repeats all day, every hour, every day - there are no errors reported - ambient temperature is around 15-18 celcius I've tried a few things, including the flow switch continuity, which is all fine. I am starting to think the pump is stuck in a continuous "Defrost" cycle. Anecdotally, I am pretty sure this behaviour started after a power cut in the area, a few months ago. So a fried component is not out of the question. Any ideas on what is causing this behaviour? I am also talking to Gecko support but they are extremely slow at responding and don't seem to be very interested now it is out of warranty.
