I was amazed when I read this thread. One of the first replys stated that all fan heaters are 100% efficient and that the energy you put in, is the heat energy you get out.. even saying that this is Physics !!! This is totally wrong !!! You put electrical energy in to a fan heater, and this energy is turned in to many things..heat generated by electrical resistance in the wires, sound from the fan etc ... only some of the electrical energy is turned into the heat that you want. No device is 100% efficient. I then went on to read another reply saying that they can be 300 % efficient !!! This would mean that you put say 100 J of energy in and get 300 J out, which defies all laws of Physics !!!! 'Energy cannot be created of destroyed'. Perhaps these people should look up what 'efficiency' means and go back to re learn simple primary school Physics, instead if pretending they actually know what they are talking about.
