Yeah, that old “1 day per mm” rule gets repeated a lot, but it doesn’t match real-world results. Most of the free water binds chemically, and the remaining moisture is far lower than people assume. I’ve also seen 150–175 mm pours hit acceptable dryness in around a month, as long as they weren’t re-wetted. Good airflow in a closed space makes a huge difference. The top surface dries fastest, but the deeper concrete follows once the gradient forms.
