Morning Dave, I've just contacted my Home insurance provider and they said i have to take it up with the council who own the property next door where the work has been done.

Last Monday, 07/07/25, my eldest son popped by and viewed my neighbours new roof that the council had fitted as part of their new warmth project, my house is on the left with the slate roof, he wasn't happy when he seen the way the bonding gutter had been savagely scalpped with what looked like a blunt spoon and pointed it out to me that it was awful. I contacted the area site manager the following day and all I got from him was, "there's nothing wrong with it" and he also added the total work on my neighbours house exceeded £70k, whoopy doo, so i added, "this is my house and im not happy with it", its taken a week today to get someone out to look at it and the work to rectify it, it was done a couple of hours later. But I've learnt its just as bad as it was before they so called "fixed it" so now I have to let them know before they sort out the back roof tomorrow 🤦🏼‍♀️ It will be sorted with the help and assistance of my friend, who will be emailing them on my behalf so all is good in that respect, this is just a warning to anyone who may have the same problem in the future.
