Thanks for the input. I reckon the roofer just wanted to get the job done and installed tiles that were good enough. When I arrived in the evening to see what had been done, I saw one of the roofers just walking on the roof without a second thought. I'd not be surprised that the walking would have chipped the corners. Will try the hose pipe tonight and send back some of these comments to the roofer. Should we be demanding they replace all the damaged tiles? Cost of the whole roof is significant to have to pay for damaged tiles.

Hi, My dad just had whe whole roof replaced with new tiles and before the scaffolding has come down(and before they have been paid fully), I took photos of the work. I notice several tiles have corner edges missing. Being brand new I would not have expected this but perhaps it is still ok? These tiles in the photos show several tiles with bottom corner missing. It is still overlapped but will it be a problem when the rains come? should we demand all these tiles to be replaced with undamaged tiles?
