Hi Redbeard The t1 is pretty much in line vertically with the cut side of the small haunch. The cut haunch isn’t suspending in mid air. Does that answer you’re question? There are however areas where the t1 is slightly recessed (under the cut haunch) and agree it needs to be stabilised.

Hi Redbeard. Thanks. when you say footing, would a layer of loose small stones suffice? ..formed to make a channel alongside the slabs, to hold bottom of new haunching in place?

Hi Our (cheapest quote) landscaper raised the patio to correct height. The type 1 mot extended well out from the patio edge resulting in his haunching/edging bring far too flat which wasn’t suitable for topsoil & turf. I’ve cut back his edging and in doing so the type 1 mot is vertically underneath the cut point ..at 10cm height. ..do I simply apply a new haunch at 45 degrees? or what method is best given the drop from patio to base?
