In the process of buying 2 barns with class Q and around 2.4 acres of land. We are purchasing with cash and the plan was to fund the project through a self build mortgage.
we would only need to secure around £200k and the land and barns are valued at 200k so I didn’t think it would be difficult due to the loan to value amount
However, I’m starting to question now whether we will be able to secure funding due to it being class Q and not full planning
Ive spoken to a number of so called specialists mortgage brokers and nobody seems to have a clue about funding class Q
appreciate any advice on this
