Hello. Looking for some advice re the need for fire doors. We have a dormer bungalow, so there is an existing front dormer and bathroom upstairs as per the original build in 1968. We have planning approval to install a rear dormer and in the architect plans, they include all doors to be installed/replaced with fd30's, even including the bathroom, downstairs wc, foyer door and under stairs cupboard door. I'm not sure if this is a requirement under building regs as all the information I can find relates to the build of a dormer/loft conversion in a bungalow where there is no reference to existing rooms in that space, so therefore there is the addition of a second floor in the roof space. There are three other bungalows with the exact same build situation on the the same street, who have had works completed in the last 6-18 months and none of them have had the fire door requirment with their plans and all have been signed off by building control. Is anyone able to help clarify? Thanks so much in advance for any help or advice
