Just to add that the wall is of standard brick and is double skinned.

Thank you!! The wall is about 4 feet high with solid earth behind it which is 1 metre high. I plan to cut through the wall and build some steps. I’m pretty sure that the wall will be fine but just want to get some advice beforehand. Any feedback welcome.

I like to give any DIY project a go but sometimes need a helping hand from people in the know. Cutting through a wall to build some steps so any help much appreciated.
