  1. Thank you for your advice - it’s really appreciated.. I just think it looks very busy and really doesn’t fit with the mood boards I sent either.. here are some moodboard pictures I shared I feel that my mood boards are much softer.... but I’m struggle to articulate what it is that we want ?
  2. Hello everyone, We are feeling at a lost cause and would really appreciate some advice.. After receiving our planning permission we were delighted with the house shape (we are between two bungalows, so felt this is a great achievement). However upon approval we commenced discussions with the architects about the facade, concerns that it may age quickly and if we had selected the correct materials. The architects suggested a redesign, which we received today and this delivered something very similar, just in a different layout. And I still don’t love it.... ? I’m now thinking what next - I don’t love this design of materials and this feels like more of the same, with a different format. What is the best approach to selecting the house facade? Any recommendations of someone who could assist us with this please? I have created a mood board of materials I like, but I’m unsure how to execute this and make sure it works... Many thanks
  3. Hello Wise People, We are getting ready to commence our build and after numerous conversations with our architects I'm still not confident we have our master suite right... I don't feel like we have designed the space correctly and are maximising our options and unfortunately our architect are not providing any fresh ideas... And every time I look at it I struggle with the space too, I think mainly because we have two large windows, so makes it an awkward shape..(attaching my images to help to see our concerns) Has anyone else has this issue? Wondering where I go from here... Interior designer? Other architects? The builder? Any advice welcome :) Thank you! Master Ideas.pdf
  4. Hello I’ve recently been watching the new TV show on BBC ‘Your Home Made Perfect’ and was really impressed by the VR aspect. I wondered if anyone has used an architect company that’s using VR to help with the visualization of the end result? And if so would you recommend? We have submitted our plans for planning permission and before we start the build i’d be really keen to get an idea of the physical space internally to make sure we’ve covered everything. thanks in advance Chloe
  5. Thanks Lizzie, just out of interest why would you not house an MVHR in the loft? This was what we were planning to do, so really keen to hear your thoughts thank you!
  6. Hello Everyone, This is my first post after lots of browsing & I would really appreciate your help. We have our final designs from our architect and are ready to submit for planning permission. However just before we click go I wanted to see if anyone would be kind enough to share their thoughts. Is there anything I’m missing, a room you wish you’d included in your own build or any learning tips? Just some background: our plot is a knock down rebuild and we are between two bungalows so are a little limited, however both neighbours are onboard with our outer designs. This does limit our overall height and upstairs space but I’m hoping we’ve maximized this to it's full potential. We have two younge boys (3yr & a 9mo) and family that live relatively far away so come to visit requently (hence the extra en-suite). The familyroom/dining room is c.11x5m.. our architect wanted to split this room & go down some small steps into the family room given the room is rather large, but we decided against this for safety reasons with our two children. However I am now concerned if the back of the house is ‘too open plan’ and if there is anything I need to consider? Maybe some interior design tips for this would also be amazing! Thank you so much in advance Floorplan.pdf
