As part of the planning BC want underfloor insulation. We also plan to convert basement level to livable space in the not too distant future. Do you rekon its not possible to effectively insulate between the joists at all?

Hi folks, Looking for a bit if advice/feedback from people who have / have fitted overlay board systems? We are doing a diy flat conversion and while everything is bare for the renovation we had considered the idea of UFH instead of rads. We have joist suspended floors so a screed is off the agenda as we suspect it would involve too much work supporting the added weight etc... Questions re: overlay board are 1. How do they feel underfoot? We plan to use LVT on top of them and one thing i had considered was if they would feel squidgey or have a bounce? 2. Do they perform well in heating up? Seems to be mixed bag of opinions online about whether they perform as well as a screed. 3. Any advice or things to consider / wish you had considered when choosing the system.
