I would really appreciate some help. I am trying to help out my elderly neighbour - he damaged a wireless thermostat a few weeks back and has just got a new one. To control a 2-zone 'wet' underfloor heating system. I cannot pair the new thermostat with the control unit. It's a John Guest ('JG') 8-zone base unit, and the thermostat is branded as 'Heatmiser', but I think that's a JG product too. The issue seems to be a pairing button on the base unit - I just cannot find it anywhere. All the on-line manuals seem to be based on a newer model. I've attached pics of the front of the unit, the inside of it, and the back of the new thermostat. I've followed all the instructions given to 'pair' the new 'stat, but it is not talking to the base unit at all. The other thermostat he has is working fine - so it must be possible to pair this model somehow. Can anyone help at all please? I think I just have to get the base unit into 'pairing mode' but just cannot see how to do it. I have been 'caller number 14' for far too long on the 'helpline'... Many, many thanks!
