  1. Yes, did consider this but obviously adding the unnecessary cost of renting a 5 bedroom house in the city center would be last resort. Although demolising kitchen and bathroom at the same time so perhaps renting it on just the worst days for a shower, home cooked meal and a dust free sleep without having to go to the gym or my mothers would be a blessing! We have had no contact from them since they bought it so I dont know who I'm addressing any correspondance to and there is no guarantee I can catch them to talk to. It is a Malaysian family that have multiple properties in the area from what I can see on AirBnB, they don't live it in when its vacant.
  2. Has anyone had experience of this? I know I have the right to modify my property and the ability to do what is 'reasonable' but if the neighbours property is a source of income do they have any right to refuse or make demands based on their possible loss of income? Any advice on how to approach to minimise any conflict?
