  1. Thanks to all I will use the recommended SS deck tite screw from toolstation, it seems like I should be able to get away with the impact driver. Where can I get the right size square drive bit from?
  2. I understand that a stainless steel screw is softer than carbon steel and that a pilot hole is required, even in pine. Provided that a pilot hole made, is okay to use a to torque driver without breaking the screws.
  3. I will go with stainless steel screws then I didn't realise that larch reacts to certain metals, thank you for that
  4. I'm considering using the above as supplied by toolstation to fasten 19mm thick larch waney boards. This is external use but the heads will not be exposed to the elements, the specification claims "Corrosion-resistant – salt spray-tested to 400 hours" I prefer using torx drive as they don't cam out and are reliable. Is this a good choice?
