Thank you, I will have a dig around to see what is going in or out of it and will post some pictures back up. I will also call the water authority to make sure I'm not going to cause any issues etc by filling/covering it up.

I have the following manhole in my front garden. I have spoken to my water company about it as it is heavily corroded and they state the do not maintain it as there is another one on my path out the front which is the one they use. I have opened it up and it doesn't appear to be in use but can anyone on here confirm that? Ideally I would like to fill it up and cover with turf as it is right in the middle of my front garden.
