I'm building a passive house and I'm looking at the details of the bathrooms. In the bathroom I will be using a concealed cistern but in the shower room I had been thinking of using a close coupled toilet. However, in our static caravan we get a large amount of condensation on the outside of the cistern and I note that insulating cold water pipes is advised in a Passive House, so I'm thinking that a concealed cistern (with insulation) may be a better bet. This then brings me to the issue of possible leaks from the interconnecting pipe between the cistern and pan. It appears that some have issues with the push fit pipes and the associated washers blistering. I'd be interested to hear other peoples thoughts and experiences on these issues.
