I have an old property with a bespoke stone fireplace with a coal basket used to burn a combination of wood & coal. I plan on fitting a dedicated log/wood burning stove. However without modifying the stone chimney, there is not enough space to install the new stove directly under the flue, so will have to locate it in front of the opening and connect the flue through an angled connection. obviously I will extend the hearth to accommodate the extending location of the fire. I would welcome advice on who to connect the fire by either rear or top entry flue. Many thanks, Terry
