Hi Guys, i wonder if you can help as there seems to be a wealth of knowledge here.
First let me give you a bit of history.
My property is around 15 years old. I learned later that UFH installer had not been paid by the builder so with hidsight i suspect the system has not been commisioned as i have no paperwork, the old installer refuses to do any work on my system because he had not been paid by the builder.
The system was powered by a gas boiler and was upgraded to a heatpump a just over a year ago. When it was powered by the gas boiler similar issues occured but they were likely masked a bit because of the much higher flow temperature. With the heat pump i am using weather compensation.
The cicuits are/ were like this
Gas boiler -> blend valve -> pump -> manifolds
Heatpump -> buffer tank -> pump -> manifolds
Note there is only one pump in the whole system
The manifolds have no pump, they look like this
Downstairs
Upstairs
The problem i have is that some rooms are consistantly around 1.5 degrees colder than other rooms while some others are warmer.
Downstairs the kitchen is colder while the utility is warmer than average
Upstairs the En Suite is colder while the Bathroom is much warmer.
Each circuit has one of these flow rate monitors
the troulble is that most of these are stuck at the top, even if there is no flow.
For the ones that are working i can adjust here with an allen key
Turning Clockwise decreases the flow
Turning Anti-Clockwise increases the flow
I set a one of these to 2.5 but if other circuits come on it drops to around 1.5, is this normal?
What might be the best way forward, should i decrease the flow rate on the cold rooms and increase the flow rate on the warm rooms?
