Hello all,
I have bought a relatively old property (shows on the 1882 OS maps) which was extended in 1980s and again in 2019, before my purchase.
I have attached a diagram showing how the building developed. Anything in orange is single storey, blue is double storey.
I was wondering if anyone could cast their eyes over the proposals in the drawing, namely the single storey side extension, the single storey rear extension (connecting to the existing double storey extension) and the replacement of the flat roof over the double garage with a pair of pitched roofs - I really dislike flat roofing. The double pitch would have a height to the ridge of 4m.
As i understand it, the side extension and the double pitch over the garage would fall under PD rights, but the single storey rear extension, adjoining and connected to the double storey would require planning permission.
I am correct in my assessment??!!
Many thanks, and look forward to learning lots.
Will
