  1. Loft bricks are not wet managed to get to them
  2. Hi guys i dont know if soakers were fitted. Cant tell if loft bricks are damp as little brickwork showing.
  3. Hi guys i posted thread while back about damp upstairs chimney breast. Took advice and got stack rebuilt was real happy with stack but damp got worse. Roofer came back put wider lead painted fiber glass on top and coated sides and put better breathable membrane down. 2 weeks later still damp. Chimney sweep said possible problem is rain is getting in between pot and chimney liner so recomended a suspension cowl that covers the gap. Roofer said we may need ventilation caps as old 2nd chimney breast is blanked off. Neighbour has same problem in same place didnt have the damp until new stack was built but i did.
  4. Fantastic feedback from you guys much appreciated.
  5. p.s remaining pot has a flu for a multifuel fire running up it.
  6. Hi that sounds interesting how is a roof over option different to a new chimney stack? Im not sure if the neighbours will chip in for a new stack as its half theirs but not asked yet.
  7. HOW MUCH FOR A NEW CHIMNEY REBUILD 😞
  8. Hi all i have the roof from hell. I have had 3 roofers round to fix an issue with the top floor chimney breast it leaks water via a damp patch at the top right where it meets the roof. 1st roofer put on new ridge tiles and used some grey magical sealant. 2nd roofer huffed and puffed. 3rd roofer saw some tile nails missing removed magic sealant from the 1st roofer and put proper lead flahshing on removed a chimney pot and blanked it off. Water/damp still comming in when it rains. Tried to get in touch with 3rd roofer to come back and investingate but he is not returning my messages. If there are any roofers that are worth their salt please take a look at the photos and any suggestions to fix the issue would be greatly apprecitaed. This has been going on for over a year now.
