Thanks for quick reply. I've re-uploaded the mp3 that should have been selected first time round (also audio recording is not great, but hopefully conveys sound we're hearing, i.e. buzzing. Not in this recording, but we have heard it seeming to ramp up/down on occasion. It's unclear when this starts relative to when the fan starts - it's on the other side of fence to me (i.e. neighbours). Fan has never been noticeable to me, and reading through this forum I'm guessing that noise is coming from compressor?

I would really appreciate if anyone who has experience working with ASHPs could give the attached MP3 a listen to and provide any insights into why this unit is making this noise? This noise seems to occur at least once-twice per day. It can last from anywhere from 20-30mins to around an hour. In months passed, particularly in colder weather, this noise occurs a lot more frequently. Thank you, AN ashp_audio.mp3
