My roof has been found to be extremely rotten, after a gutter fell off. I live in a Victorian brick townhouse in a conservation area which DOESN'T have an article 4 directive, but one is coming which will remove pd rights. The house has heavy concrete tiles which my surveyor said may have contributed to historical movement. Without changing the structure of the roof, I'd like to get my roof tiles replaced with slate. Can I do this under pd, without the need for planning?
