  1. I think that is what I was not getting, I can now see they have a tear off slip that leaves a nice line and finish. I didnt understand that tear off slip was temporary! Cheers
  2. Or, does the trim that sticks out pull away? To reveal a neat line? Thanks
  3. Hi All, I am going to render my window reveals but have a few questions I cant answer by looking around... I see window reveal beads but I dont really fancy the trim that seems to be left stuck onto the window, it looks unsightly and will be a different color to my windows...is there any alternatives here? Or..could I attach a cement board to the reveal then render that? Negating the need for the beads? Thanks as ever!
  4. Hi All, We have a BPC supplied system and on the install pack it says about a 8-10mm gap on all doors, to aid circulation. Thing is, we have a number of fire doors which seems to defeat the principle of them. I will ask BPC but any guidance from people on here? Thanks
  5. Hi All, Confused here, if on my driveway, the pipe is less than 600mm deep, Im thinking I need to protect? BC being less than helpful... So shingle, then do I need a compression board all along where its shallow? I have some A252 mesh left over so could use that? Then finally 100mm concrete cap? Again, is this all along the trench? Look forward to thoughts!
  6. Thanks so much! Did you use a peel and stick membrane as well?
  7. Thank you, as you said, I cant find the Triton product anywhere and dont want to use any bitumen based primer as it will eat the Nudura block foam
  8. Hi All, getting around to externally sealing the Nudura block to the footings. Looking for help to find a suitable waterproof primer and membrane? Cant seem to find many! Cheers
  9. I need the pumice liner though, not the ceramic I need a tee cap but can find kne anywhere! Maybe I can adapt an aluminium one?
  10. Hi, Just starting to install my chimney, Isokern pumice liner. I have spoke to Isokern but no joy... Basically we have the 45° T section going into the house and upwards. But what do I do with the bit below on the T ? Does it need a plug? Surely it's not left open? I know I need a soot door to sweep/access which I've accounted for but I can't think this hole at the bottom stays open?! Ta
  11. This is what I was expecting but the surveyor is unsisting not for Velfac. He won't order with out it being on. Maybe I need to change suppliers?
  12. Hi All, Just had our window survey and they are requesting we have all the stone slips fitted before they can measure the structural opening. Getting told different things that this is or not normally the case.. Is this normal? They are Velfac windows. Need to get them on order as the weather is on the move... Any have any other suppliers in the south I could try? Thanks
  13. Cheers Conor but I'm not allowed any boards, it's a planning condition
  14. Hi All, part of our planning stipulates no barge boards Now I'm doing the roof, we have the slate/batten coming over the Nudura and it's going to leave a batten visible. Should I use a small dry verge system to finish? Mortar fails often in slate and can't see how that will protect the ends of the batten anyway. Cheers
  15. Ideally want some end caps but good idea
