Hello All, My wife an I have secured our ot of land and have attended a number of building shows and its a minefield of options. The key decisions we are looking at are 1. Building methods - looks like brick and block are a thing of the past. Should we look at ICF or timber frame with SIPPS?? 2. Our foundations could be complex due to soft soil, clay and tree roots. Is piling still top dog or has anyone used ESP foundations? 3. Is the air source heat pump good or not??? So many conflicting opinions. If not? What's the alternative??
