  1. Hi all. I've got some Kardean LVP in my loft (6M x 4M), which is a very warm room. It's been down for 4 years and it's started to warp (about 2 - 3mm), width ways only, see attached picture. I assumed that the builder must have not left the required 5mm gap to the wall , so I removed the rad and a section of the skirting on 1 wall to have a look. Turns out the gap is there, so i'm puzzled? My thought are There is always a table tennis table in the middle of the room and it's very heavy, 100Kg, could this be preventing the lvp from expanding into the gap? Note, yesterday I took the table down but suprise suprise the floor didn't magically go flat. I tried pushing it flat with my feet but no good. If this is causing the problem how do I now flatten it out? Or could the skirting be too tight to the floor , anyone seen this before and do i need to take the rest of the skirting off to confirm this (please say no) or is there a simpler way of checking? Any other thought ideas? Thanks DS
  2. I tried to remove the filling loop at the CH flow end as suggested but water came out under pressure. How to I find out which bit is leaking: filling loop CH flow valve cold water mains in valve
  3. I see, thanks. It's an internal filling loop, can I just unscrew it with the boiler on?
  4. Hi The pressure on my vaillant ecotec plus boiler is creeping up by about 0.2 bar a day with the system OFF. I removed the grey handles on the filling loop and tightened both valves with a screwdriver, but the problem remains. Both valves have to be open on the filling loop to repressurise the system, so does this mean that both valves must be, leaking , which seems unlikely, or is it possible just one valve is faulty and if so, how do I find out which one it is? Or is there any other possibility? Any help appreciated.
  5. Update - I changed the EV and it's working fine now. No water out the overflow pipe, ON pressure = 2.2 bar
  6. Ok, thanks , i'll keep an eye on the PRV but my guess is it's ok because the pressure when the system is on is 3 bar, which is the level that the PRV kicks in at.
  7. Thanks for that. The blog suggested there could be an issue with the expansion vessel, so I checked it and it was full of water ie when I pressed the schrader valve water spurted out. Also, when the boiler runs the pressure goes up to 3 and because of this water has been coming out of the overflow pipe These 3 points (the internet tells me) suggest a punctured expansion chamber, so i'm going to replace the EV.
  8. thats what i thought but it doesn't sound very likely. i posted the question here to see if anyone else had seen this behaviour
  9. The pressure sensor reads correctly and I can hear the pump working, that's why i'm confused. It appears not to be a normal F75 problem. Also the rads get hot which confirms the pump is ok.
  10. Hi So im getting an intermittent (once a day ish) F75 on my 2014 ish vaillant ecotec 831. Heating is on, all fine, for minutes -> hours then F75 appears and heating goes off. When I turn the boiler switch off and back on it goes away, HW and heating ok, then it comes back. Checked the electronic pressure sensor, it was always 3.8, so I changed it. New sensor works fine but intermittent F75 still present. Then I noticed the off the pressure was creeping up by about 1.5 bar a day, so I removed the handles from the inlet valves and tightened the valve with a screwdriver, problem solved, pressure stable at 1.6. But intermittent F75 remains. So im stuck any suggestions appreciated.
  11. Excellent idea. It's a bit difficult though to see what type of tree it is to get a proper replica, since its only a stump. maybe i'll just plant an oak.
  12. lol. Im sort of seeing it as a challenge now, man vs stump. Im 1-0 down at the moment.
  13. Not 2 years though. There are other smaller branches that have been embedded in the fence for 10+ years and they still haven't fell off. Also the stump it quite heavy so it will be pulling on the fence
  14. That was my first thought but there are other people involved and they want it out
