    tks. bit late i suspect. planning permission done and dusted. methinks tptb pick and choose what they allow developers to reclaim. logic or justice doesnt seem to form part of the decision process.

    Just started a new build in Surrey and getting hit with all sorts of charges from Runnymede council and Buildzone etc some of which include VAT. One that has really got my goat is: Insurance Premium £1,925.00 Insurance Premium Tax (12%) £231.00 Total Premium (inc. IPT) £2,156.00 Site Audit Fee (inc. VAT) £1,074.00 Note that HMRC states that Fees are deemed to be a service to the Insurers and the VAT is non-reclaimable. are tptb taking the michael?
