  1. Hi all, i’m after a bit of advice, well reassurance really. I’m no expert but i’ll have a try at most things and 6 years ago i purchased a log cabin(4x5m)which i erected on a concrete base that i dug out and filled with about 6” of concrete. Anyway recently the floor felt a bit springy.I had a laminate floor on osb boards which were screwed into wooden joints sitting on the concrete.Anyway 6 years ago i did not use a sheet of dpm and so the joists and osb were rotten. So i threw away the osb and joists and instead of painting the concrete with some type of bichumen,i had a roll of brick dpc which i layed between the concrete and the new wooden joists.I put new osb down again with the original laminate floor on top. So my concern is have i done the right thing?……..i mean the moisture was obviously coming up through the concrete floor, soaking through the joists and up into the osb over a period of 6 years. Is it safe to assume the barrier i have now put down will stop this happening again?? Many thanks in advance.
