Hello I'm John and am attempting to build a tiny house, I've been attempting since 2018 and after two cost cutting re-designs, a massive concrete blowout, a ruptured sewer and a host of minor disasters adding an extra 30 grand to the costs, I now actually have the footings in and a retaining wall! Ready to start building up, hopefully finished within 2 years; problem now seems to be securing a warranty.
Anybody have experience of getting a warranty on a long-term self build project? The kind that you actually build yourself, without a primary contractor and it takes years. Protek have turned me down, they say due to the timescales. I want to get one sorted before I do any more work on it as I have learned that retrospective warranties are not accepted by most mortgage lenders.
