Brick courses to support sides of SUD's pathway

Further to my questions about my need to provide a SUD's compliant pathway( and drive).

I have dug out the route of a path to a depth that will allow 200mm of type 3 , 50mm of finer gravel? and a topping of some sort.

I will edge the sides with courses of brickwork such that this 'wall' protrudes proud by about one course.

So if the 'wall' has soil on one side and compacted type 3 on the other i guess/hope that a single row will be sufficient. 

Does that sound reasonable?
