Downpipe opens out above ground

Hi everyone this is my first post.  I recently inherited an old bungalow.

 

There is no drain for this down pipe so rain water just flows out onto the paving.  
 

It hasn’t caused any flooding or standing water with the recent heavy rainfall we’ve had, neither are there any damp patches occurring indoors.  
 

Still it concerns me that it could affect the foundations and DPC overtime.

 

Plus is bothers me seeing the water drain out of there like crazy when it rains, so I’ve just been braving the rain and sweeping it away from the wall when I can!

 

I guess a solution would be to fit a diverter kit and water butt there, but the same problem will still occur once the water bit is full.  I’d like to know you guys’ suggestions, and if a drain would be possible.
