Probably go 600x random on the sizes on the stone, should be fun to lay!

Just waiting on a quote for the Karndean as our quote is based on luxury vinyl click

Price per m2 is ok on a karndean but I’m not sure how much fitting is for the screed etc

Budget has taken a fair hit lately.

struggling to bring anything in at pc sum (apart from kitchen) on the interior.

Gone for an oak staircase which won’t help things either!

Just keep thinking anything we cannot change easily then no point scrimping.

Variations currently at 23k, about 7.5k of that was flush casement windows and extra bifold.

Yes they look so much better.

Odd that 150 was used in the first place.

Plastering should be finished this week but struggling to get heat in the house to dry everything out.

Limestone flooring was delivered yesterday so will go and take a look over the week end.

Limestone been going down in hall and kitchen/ utility this week.

22mm thick so very heavy, probably going to cost a fortune in grout!

First coat of matt sealer prior to grouting which will be light grey.

Stone came online from stone superstore, must say they have been excellent, sent loads of free samples, emails answered promptly.

Had quite a few broken slabs on the first delivery which they replaced straight away!

Still trying to sort entrance door colours, think they will end up RAL 7030 stone grey

Stairs going in now, upgraded to oak in the end as thought it was worth spending an extra 1k in this area.

Limestone tumbled floor now complete in hall, kitchen and utility.

These have really hurt the budget and taken up all of our PC sum for flooring.

22mm thick so lots of extra grout etc.

Now it’s down I think it was well worth it, it’s much lighter in person and gone with a matt sealer.

Downstairs toilet area now formed, quite small but enough for a toilet and small wall and slim vanity unit

Our slush fund is now gone which was 20k so really need to try and stick to PC sum to completion.

  • 1 month later...

Afternoon all,

Project has been slightly on hold due to entrance door delays.

Kitchen/ utility now going in, a few small issues but hopefully will all be resolved next week

Went for a gun metal kettle tap from Fohen.

Range is in storage so will have to bring it over when gas fitter is next about.

Both bathrooms tiled and went for LVT on the floors, really pleased with this, looks like real wood with embossed print/ texture.

Would rather have narrower planks with the small rooms but LVT seems limited to this width.

Doors now fitted along with skirting and architrave.

Pleased with these as help with the cottage theme.

Matt black handles with matching hinges etc

Lounge wise flooring should be done next week, went engineered oak due to UFH, all the wood and LVT came from Ambience who were great to deal with.

Wood burner also going in at end of the month.

Interior designer has now finalised all the room/ ceiling woodwork colours and measured up for roman blinds.

Really need to sort the mortgage out ASAP as running out of money/ down to 40k remaining

Engineered oak floor now complete in lounge, also brick slips installed for fireplace.

Just awaiting the cream grout turning up for these to complete then wood-burner can be installed.

Kitchen more or less complete, oak worktops oiled and fitted just need up stands fitting now.

Also need to order up stands for laminate top in utility.

Decided to get a custom aged/ blackened copper splash back to try and tie in the unit handles.

Holding off fitting the range until this arrives.
